Zebras

Did you ever hear someone say, “Now, that’s a horse of a different color?” Let me tell you about the “tiger horse.” Actually he is not a “tiger horse” for real. He is really known as the zebra. Zebras like to be with each other and the gather in herds of ten or twelve or else they mingle with herds of other animals like wildebeests or ostriches.

Now, you might think that if you have seen one zebra you have seen them all. That is not true. All zebras are not alike. The color of their stripes varies from a light shade of pink to brown, off-white, dark yellow, and black. Also, the size of their stripes differs. No two zebras are exactly alike.

No two people are exactly alike either–not even identical twins! It is too bad we often want to be like the other kids. God has made us to differ. We differ in size, shape, color, hair, eyes, ability, likes, dislikes, personality and a thousand other things and ways. God has made us all different and He loves us all. Christ died for all and paid the price of our sin. He arose again that whoever wants to, can be saved by trusting in Him, Him alone.

Each zebra is different, but zebras like being together and even with other animals. We are all different and we should learn to love being with other and enjoy the differences. 1 Corinthians 4:7 in the Bible says “who makes you to differ from another?” Romans 11:33 says, “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God.”

Learn to enjoy the difference in others.
